~I love the intensified colors of this character! The strokes are so en pointe! ~It's magnificent! And the fish look wonderful! Impeccable work of art! ~Now if only he can come to life and fight heroically for me.
I just prefer working on one layer for personal reasons. Having too many confuse me, and I like the idea of trying to paint as "traditionally as possible" through a digital medium. Plus it's good practice once I get back to traditional art again.
A Samurai with fish? That's an interesting concept. I would love more of the backstory to find out how he managed to have those fish fight with him. A fish god in disguise as a samurai? I don't know.
I love the colors and the fish are an interesting addition to the painting. Thankfully the fish only enhance the drawing instead of taking it away or just being there randomly for no reason at all. They look as if they were meant to be there instead of a silly idea one would just jolt down and shrug it off. The colors are bright, but they have a dark undertone to it, which is great for this picture. I'm amazed at your talent again and again. I can't find a mistake here yet, that's probably because I have more of an eye for fanart mistakes than original art mistakes XD.
Btw: The eyes are a fantastic feature. I love how bright they are.
He's pretty (perhaps a little too pretty though, sorta looks more female to me ) But a great job nonetheless, the inclusion of the Siamese Fighting fish is something I've never seen before even though they fit the personality very well
