It is the Hero of Time himself he's left handed like Link. Hyrule Historia confirms that it IS him also in Wind Waker The King of Red Lions says that the Hero of Time left the land that made him a legend. Regret? fuck Game Theory!

I've played Majora's Mask and I don't buy that. Besides, he left Termina at the end and returned to the forest with Epona and the Ocarina of Time, which were stolen.

Link was still a kid then and he didn't know the moves he taught TP's Link.

The truth is that we will never know what happened to Link on his journey to find Navi after Majora's Mask, but we do know that he chose to pass on what he learned in life to the next Hero.

Its absolutely positively wrong. The video is wrong.

The very same Hero's Bow made it to Hyrule. How does that happen if Link died in MM?

And, we've got the clear evidence he and Malon settled down in Kokiri Forest, what with the ranch, the horse's name, even the house looks the same. So yeah. Its wrong.

but how lnk surived the fal, how did epona surivived and appeared elsewhere, why isnt there any info of the hero of time burial, why does everything looks like drugs?, why does nobody else in hyrule worries about the falling moon.
all the NPC are the same cause its the only people he knew.

thats why the heros shade knew the fightstyle of the Hero, before any hyrule soldier knew them as they where later thought

When I played Twilight Princess listening to what he said about being a former warrior and then finding that mysterious gravestone in Hyrule castle I figured he used to be Link maybe the Link from Majora's Mask.

Ok so before I go any further, Terrific picture :D

So I've been doing ALOT of research on this guy and the games he's been in when he was alive and this is my theory :meow:

"The Hero's Shade in The legend of Zelda: Twlight Princess is actually The Hero of Time's/Link's deceased spirit from Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask. After being reconverted into a child and sent back in time at the end of Ocarina of Time, he lost his Hero status. But the reason his spirit is a shade is because he died being unable to be remembered as a Hero and having regrets on not being able to pass on his knowledge to future generations. I believe the reason this happened is because during the events at the start of Majoras Mask when Link fell down the hole in the tree, he physically died in the world of Hyrule but his soul/spirit passed on into the parallel world of Terminus hence why he has an epigy. Despite saving Terminus from destrution he was still not seen as a Hero and being already dead, was unable to pass on his knowledge to children of his own and therefore his spirit manifested into a shade made from his regrets of not passing on his teachings and not being remembered as a Hero"

*brain overload*

Personally I think Link married Malon and gave birth to his descended(that would lead to TP link, why that Link owns Epona and why he lives in a ranch town) but the depression of never finding Navi and never being revered or recognized as a hero is what slowly started to kill him and he became cursed.  He trains TP Link because this is his chance not just to help his own blood but so he can truly redeem himself and ocme to terms with his fate.

In short, one hell of a badass.

Well, many suspect that he didn't survive the fall in the beginning of Majora's Mask. Personally I think he died in the Lost Woods since he's a Hylian and Hylians generally can't survive in the Lost Woods without help and the Majora's Mask Grief Theory, which I personally believe, follows afterwards.
